Bought this cage for my two ferrets, perfect size, great closures on doors and the removable trays make cleaning quick and easy. However the ramps do not fix on securely they keep coming off so I will need to fasten them myself. My cage came without holes to bolt each section together, but I was quickly offered replacement panels and a partial refund. I was expecting something more substantial for the price - with having to drill holes to complete assembly and do something with the ramps.
Built This, Must admit despite how small the structure it, this is a pretty sturdy cage, very secure and well built!
The chinchilla's love there new cage!
Great cage, good size, price is fair,
I would recommend that the instructions are clearer and the parts are labels as it took longer to work out what piece goes where than to actually build it
I got this cage for my two cockatiels, I removed the different levels so it is one big space. My birds are very happy in it, it’s huge and the horizontal bars on front and back make it easy for them climb around.
A really good sized cage for my group of 7 rats but it needs a number of adjustments.
The gap between the two levels is huge. My boys would definitely escape. I'm not currently using the shelf so I zip tied the ladders over the gap.
A lesser problem is the gap at the bottom where the substrate falls out. Because the base is so shallow, substrate will fall out anyway but that gap makes it worse so I've duct taped it.
It's a shame it only opens on one side. Its manageable but it would better if the other side opened.
On the plus side, it is reassuring that it is all metal. It is huge but still looks smart. The stand has wheels which is handy. All the shelves can be removed if you like.
Fixing my issues would bump this rating to 4. Add a deep base as well would take it to 5 stars. Also it was a bit of mare putting it together to be honest. Basically, if you can't afford the s*vic srs, this is a good alternative.
