Wow - one of the largest, nicest narrow bar cages we have seen in a very long time! Great for rats, syrian hamsters, chinchillas and other similar sized small pets.
The MINI COCO Cage by Little Friends has a grey plastic base tray, and silver metal bars (which are COATED with silver paint and will not rust). These bars are a much thicker gauge wire than other comparible cages on the market (we handle cages all day and these are noticeably thicker than the Savic Freddy cages for example).
This cage comes with the wooden platform and wooden ladder as shown.
Width across front: 79cm (at widest part of base lip)
Depth (front to back): 42cm
Height (top to bottom):55cm.
There are two access doors, a large front drop down access door measuring 24.5 x 26cm. There is a huge door on top measuring 60 x 34cm - the access is absolutely superb on this cage.
It does need some minor assembly, it comes flatpacked and you will need to fold the wire panels out and fasten the little hooks round the side panels (two second easy job).
The bar spacing is 1.2cm, although this is does increase to around 1.4cm at the corner joins and at the top (but can be adjusted relatively easily).
Bars are silver (coated, will not tarnish or rust) and base is the beige platinum colour shown. Neutral colours and a very attractive cage!
Tip: when assembling this cage to make it more sturdy we recommend crimping the side U shaped hooks at each corner. This makes it rock solid (we have tested this with 15kgs of weight on top of the canopy without it being clipped to anything and it was as sturdy as a table!). If you plan to flatpack this cage regularly then we would recommend leaving as it is - it is still an exceptionally sturdy cage once built and clipped to the base.
Great holiday cage for my three female rats. They have the large coco as their normal cage and I love that.
Easy to put together and great access, fits my 12# wheel with room to spare.
I use cable ties to stabilise/for peace of mind.
Hoping to stack it on top of my big coco when I'm not away!

this is the first cage i've had and it's perfect for my 2 rats. there is plenty of room for toys, food, water and a hammock. the access is great which makes cleaning very easy- just unclip and tip out the old litter! i'd recommend this to someone who is unsure about cages. I ordered this cage for two little rat babies. I am very happy with this product as its easy it assemble and easy access to the rats when needed. To clean it's easy as you just unlock the sides and lift!
Could not fault this item! Unknown on 7th Feb 2017
I have a very large Syrian hamster who needed plenty of room. I bought this cage knowing that for a hamster I would need to add an extra platform so she couldn't fall the height of the cage. Platform installed and she loves it.
It's a very big cage, some would say a little OTT for a hamster but I couldn't bear the thought of keeping her in a smaller cage, the bigger the better in my book. Jax on 7th Sep 2016
Bought this for my sons two Rats, plenty of space for their bed, food bowl, water etc as well as space to play and Climb. Deep Base means no overspill of wood shavings when they are scurrying around. A bit fiddly to assemble but took less than 5 Mins. Well worth 39 quid, but would of been overpriced at original RRP of £129 Andrew on 17th Jun 2016
Never thought I'd say this, but.. This cage is far better than the savic freddy cages. Really sturdy and can be stacked. Love the large top opening. Using these cages for old rats, bitey rats who are being tamed, as easy access to reach in. And just set up most recent cage for a pair of female babies.
Very easy to set up. Excellent price. Carla on 17th Jun 2016
I bought this cage for my group of 4 older rats, it was very easy to assemble although I didn't use the wooden shelf in it.
I have recommended it to friends Unknown on 11th Sep 2015
