| I didn\'t purchase this cage from here, but I have one of the same design.
This is a good cage for the price, and has lasted over 4 years now. Some of the coating has come off in places, resulting in some minor rusting, but nothing dangerous for the rats.
New, it is very tricky to put together, and the instructions are rather poor. However, once you\'ve got the hang of it, it doesnt take more than 10 or 15 minutes to put together. Less if you have help. It\'s not the sturdiest cage out there, but it has the advantage of being relatively easy to transport, as it packs flat. Keep the box!
It is also easy to separate off a level if you have problems with introducing another rat to a group, although the single layer is a little small for more than one adult rat.
If you want to change things up, leave one of the levels out, and use plenty of hammocks and shelves for your rats to scramble on. They\'ll love it.
In summery, a cheap cage that is ideal for someone who travels, either as a primary cage (student!), or as a cage just for traveling. It\'s not perfect, but the flaws are not too critical. |

| I found your delivery time exellent yet again. The cage is fine now, but I found it very stressful putting it together. it arrived flat pack style with only an image of how it should look when put together. Parts were not labled and as many were similar it was confusing to say the least. After a very long time of trial and error, we decided to put it together to our own design and adapt pieces accordingly. I would only advise people with six hands or those who have people to help with the constuction buying this cage. Our rats love it though, so I suppose the effort was worth while. |
